31 August 2022

Are you a Canadian considering studying law at an Australian university?

Look no further than Bond Law School, which has the Canadian Law Students’ Association (CLSA), ready to assist you throughout your time at Bond!

Watch the Bond CLSA Webinar!

OzTREKK recently hosted Bond University’s CLSA for a virtual Q&A session with former OzTREKK students Aaliyah and Aman.

We covered admissions requirements, program options including an accelerated 2-year JD, returning to Canada to practice, life in Australia, study tips, what to expect, and more!

Held exclusively for OzTREKK students applying to Bond, this webinar will give you the inside scoop on how to make this all happen.

About Bond Law School
Located on the famous and sunny Gold Coast, Bond is Australia’s largest law school for Canadian Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Laws candidates.

The Bond Law experience goes far beyond traditional theoretical learning. Their state-of-the-art Legal Skills Centre has purpose-built facilities where you will apply your learning in practice!

How is Bond Connected to Canada?
Bond has strong links with Canada and has been training Canadian lawyers for more than 20 years. In fact, there are currently more than 150 Canadians studying law at Bond University—not to mention the very-active CLSA. Because of this, there is a rapidly expanding group of Bond Law Canadian alumni working as partners and senior practitioners in Canada and worldwide.

Bond CLSA
The main function of the CLSA is to make life easier for their Canadian students and to facilitate the process of returning home. The Bond CLSA provides information sessions about the National Committee on Accreditation process as well as information about the process of staying in Australia. They also host welcome-back barbecues, a Canadian mooting competition, organized social functions every semester (Halloween!), and much more. Although you may be far from home, the CLSA is there to make the transition as smooth as possible!

About the Bond Law Programs

Bond offers three intakes per year, January, May and September. This means you can start your law degree sooner, and Bond’s fast-tracked degrees allow you to graduate ahead of the rest. You are also welcome to apply anytime—without the LSAT.
