Sydney Law School Partners with University of British Columbia
Did you know that Sydney Law School has a partnership with University of British Columbia and have created a dual degree pathway for students to work towards practice in Canada?
Through Sydney Law School’s unique collaboration with the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, high achieving final-year students have the opportunity to study at one of the world’s leading centres for legal education and research.
The University of Sydney Law School and the University of British Columbia have signed an outbound pathway agreement, an exciting development for both institutions.
The agreement allows eligible Sydney LLB and JD students to commence their postgraduate studies in Canada instead of completing their final semester at Sydney Law School, enabling them to be awarded both a Sydney LLB or JD as well as a Master of Law (Common Law) from UBC.
The Master of Law (Common Law) Program (LLM CL) is a one-year, full-time degree based master’s program for foreign trained lawyers. Completing this degree program will help Sydney students work towards the National Committee on Accreditation course requirements for practicing law in Canada.
Students will be able to apply for this program directly to the University of British Columbia via their Application Portal.
