New South Wales government announces return of international students
It’s official! Fully vaccinated international students keen to study at a university in New South Wales will not be required to quarantine, provided they are vaccinated with a Australian-Government recognized vaccine (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna).
This statement was announced Nov. 12, 2021 by New South Wales Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney and the Minister for Trade and Industry Stuart Ayres. The first chartered plane of returning international students under the NSW International Student Arrivals Pilot Plan is scheduled to land in Sydney Monday, Dec. 6, 2021.
Students will require Commonwealth Government approval to travel to Australia.
This first flight will carry approximately 250 students from more than 15 nations, including Canada. The pilot plan phased approach includes flights to NSW every two weeks from December 2021 until further notice.
