Construction begun on Griffith University student accommodation tower
Construction on the new student accommodation tower at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus has begun!
With Campus Living Villages onboard for the project, the development will deliver 459 new beds for Griffith students and contribute to the reduction of housing pressure. Completion is forecast for mid-2026, taking the total number of students living on campus close to 1,000.
Vice Chancellor and President Professor Carolyn Evans said the Gold Coast campus is booming and the new student accommodation tower will enable more students to access education and to live nearby.
“The tower will feature a mix of studio, two-bedroom rooms, and accessible units with a substantial uplift in amenities to benefit all residents which includes a new swimming pool, cinema, and a range of contemporary communal spaces,” Professor Evans said.
“We are committed to offering our students a first-class university experience and will continue to work with our existing on-campus partner, Campus Living Villages, and other off-campus student accommodation providers to ensure accommodation meets the needs of our students.
Student accommodation specialist Campus Living Villages built, owns, and operates the existing Griffith University Village with the new tower representing the company’s first new build in the Australian market post-COVID.
