Monash University offers a graduate-entry pathway designed to build on your existing studies, allowing you to complete a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) / Doctor of Pharmacy (graduate-entry pathway) dual degree in just 3 years.

Fast-Track Your Career – Complete your degree and enter the workforce earlier through an accelerated three-year pathway.

Get Paid While You Study – In your final year, you’ll undertake paid supervised pharmacy practice (an internship) alongside the Monash Intern Training Program and elective studies. This allows you to gain hands-on professional experience while earning a salary as a pharmacy intern.

 

Graduate-entry Pathway Progression

With a completed relevant bachelor’s degree, you can enter the pharmacy program with advanced standing rather than completing the full standard-length pathway, reducing your time in the program from 5 years to 3 years.

Here’s what your timeline and program progression would look like:

Am I Eligible?

To be considered for the graduate-entry pathway, you’ll generally need to have:

• Completed a relevant bachelor’s-level degree within the past 10 years
• Achieved a cGPA of approximately 2.7/4.0, or the equivalent standard in your grading system
• Completed the required prerequisite subjects

Relevant degrees may include:

• Biomedical science, biomedicine or health sciences
• Pharmaceutical sciences
• Science, provided you have completed the required prerequisite subjects

If your previous degree is a Bachelor of Science, Monash will consider the number and relevance of subjects you have completed. Your studies must include the required university-level prerequisites:

• Chemistry
• Mathematics – Math can sometimes be met with Grade 12 Calculus
• English – English can be met if it was the language of instruction for your degree
• Physiology
