Deakin University continues to rise in global subject rankings

Deakin University’s success in the 2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject, released recently, showcases the university’s continuing rise across a broad range of study areas.

QS ranks the world’s top universities in 48 individual subject areas which are calculated based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.

This year, Deakin improved its rankings position in 14 subject areas compared to last year, reflecting the university’s continuing rise in the rankings and global reputation.

Most exciting is the shift for the Deakin law program, which has moved into the Top 100 worldwide. Deakin’s well-regarded nursing programs are ranked at #24 in the world, and other top performers include education and sports-related subjects, both ranked at #30. Deakin now has 25 subjects in the top 1% globally by QS.

Deakin’s success in these rankings reflects the university’s commitment to academic excellence, conducting world-class research and helping students graduate not just job-ready but with a competitive edge.
