UQ MD Year 1 Welcome Event
Many of our OzTREKK students are getting ready to study at UQ Medical School, and that means preparing for the big move to Australia! Along with the OzTREKK Orientation for new UQ MD students, another important thing to remember is the mandatory UQ MD Year 1 Welcome Event.
Date: February 3, 2015
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Venue: The UQ Centre, UQ St Lucia campus
Event Details: A compulsory half-day event for year 1 MD program students to welcome them to the UQ School of Medicine, introduce them to key members of staff, and inspire them for their medical journey!

Location: Brisbane, Queensland
Next semester intake: January 2016
Duration: 4 years
Application deadline: Applications are assessed on a rolling admissions (first come, first served) basis.
Entry Requirements
- Completed degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
- GPA equivalent to 5.0 on UQ’s 7.0 scale
- MCAT score (minimum of 8/8/8 or 8/8/M/8) or GAMSAT score (minimum of 50 in each section)
- Compulsory consultative meeting with the UQ School of Medicine
