In all, eight University of Newcastle subjects have achieved a first time ranking on the prestigious international list, published by QS, including five that made the top 200.
The annual QS World University Rankings by Subject is a comprehensive guide to the world’s top universities in a range of popular subject areas. “UON consistently ranks in the top three percent of universities in the world and in the top ten universities in Australia for research intensity. The latest QS subject rankings recognise the achievements of our staff who work hard across a range of disciplines to engage as global leaders who drive world-class innovation in our community and region,” she said.
“We congratulate our Architecture and Built Environment colleagues on the outstanding result of debuting in this international ranking at number 40.”
Through our Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, UON is delivering quality graduates and research and innovation which contribute to Australia’s skills and productivity and to the economic transition of our region.
