La Trobe University Scholarships for International Students
La Trobe University scholarships are designed to provide the support you need. They reduce your tuition fees, recognize your achievements, and reward your commitment to your future.
La Trobe University values academic excellence. High-achieving international students thinking about applying for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course will be automatically considered for a La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship.

La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship
The La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship offers between 20% to 25% off the annual tuition fees for the duration of studies.
Are You Eligible?
This scholarship is open to new international students applying for 2026–2027 intakes. Have a look at La Trobe’s list of eligible courses.
- Undergraduate and postgraduate arts degrees
- Undergraduate and postgraduate business degrees
- Bachelor of Laws (Honours)
- Juris Doctor
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)
- Master of Public Health
- Master of Teaching (Primary or Secondary)
- Undergraduate STEM degrees like
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Computer Science
- Bachelor of Cybersecurity
- Bachelor of Wildlife and Conservation Biology
- Postgraduate STEM degrees like
- Master of Artificial Intelligence
- Master of Cybersecurity
- Master of Data Science
- Master of Engineering
La Trobe University will select scholarship recipients based on the following criteria:

| 60-74.9 | La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship – 20% | 20% |
| 75+ | La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship – 25% | 25% |
*A WAM is an average mark that takes into account the credit point value of the subjects that you have completed. It is based on the actual mark of all subjects completed in your course at any given time.

La Trobe Vice Chancellor Scholarship
The Vice-Chancellor Scholarship is their most prestigious scholarship, awarded to individuals who have excelled not only in their studies but also in extracurricular activities, sports, and community engagement—those who go beyond academics to create real change.
This highly competitive scholarship offers either 50% or 100% tuition fee reduction. Through this scholarship, recipients will become part of a vibrant, innovative, and globally connected university, and will be a part of the La Trobe University student ambassador program, where they can develop the skills and networks to shape the future.
Are You Eligible?
- Applying for direct entry into one of the eligible courses.
- Commencing studies at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses in 2026.
- Outstanding academic performance (minimum WAM requirement 80)
- Written statement received in the application form.

You then must prepare a maximum 250-word statement explaining “Beyond academic achievement, what specific difference do you hope to make in your field or community after completing your degree at La Trobe University?” and submit Semester 2/Term 4/Term 5 2026 scholarship application form.

Early Acceptance Grant
International students applying for an eligible course to study at La Trobe University can be rewarded a bonus grant for completing their admission process early. Recipients will automatically be eligible to receive an Early Acceptance Grant of $2,000.

- Be a newly offered international student from April 1, 2026.
- Be applying for direct entry into one of the eligible courses.
- Commencing studies at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses or Sydney Campus in 2026/2027.
