Griffith University Scholarships for Canadian students
Each year, Griffith University offers a generous range of scholarships to support international students in their undergraduate, postgraduate, research and pathway programs.
These scholarships recognize remarkable students with outstanding academic achievements and the potential to make a positive contribution to the university and to the community!
Griffith University is proud to support these outstanding international students with a generous range of scholarships in 2026–27:
- Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship – 50% of tuition fees for the duration of a program (application required; deadlines listed below)
- International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship – 25% of tuition fees for the duration of a program (no application required)
International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship
For the Academic Excellence scholarship, you’ll be assessed on your academic results when you submit your admissions application—no other application required! If you meet the scholarship criteria, details will be included in your offer letter. Excludes the following programs: Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Dentistry, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology and Graduate Diploma of Flight Management.
For 2026 intakes, you must have applied for your academic program by 31 July 2025 to be considered for this specific 25% tier.
Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship
The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship rewards exceptional international students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree programs at Griffith. Once you have your Letter of Offer, apply for the scholarship by the closing date (see below). You will need to include academic records and a personal statement.
Trimester 2, 2026 (July 2026)
- Apply by: 11 April 2026
- Receive outcome by: 29 April 2026
Trimester 3, 2026 (November 2026)
- Apply by: 15 August 2026
- Receive outcome by: 28 August 2026
Trimester 1, 2027 (March 2027)
- Apply by: 28 November 2026
- Receive outcome by: 11 December 2026
Students completing Australian Year 12 only
- Apply by: 3 January 2026
- Receive outcome by: 13 January 2026
