Coming to study occupational therapy within the UQ School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) provides students with a first-class experience that enables them to springboard their career as an occupational therapist in many ways.
The Division of Occupational Therapy offers a four-year undergraduate OT program, a two-year graduate entry masters program and postgraduate masters and doctoral research programs to the capable domestic and international students it attracts.

UQ Occupational Therapy School

The UQ Occupational Therapy School offers a two-year graduate-entry Master of Occupational Therapy Studies program designed for students who have a bachelor’s degree and wish to gain qualifications to register as an occupational therapist. This program focuses on the practice of occupational therapy, interdisciplinary clinical studies in child health, psychiatry, and pathology, and directed study courses in the first year. In second year, management, research, and advanced clinical practice is covered.

Application Tip

If you have a second program preference at the University of Queensland, particularly the Master of Speech Pathology Studies, Master of Physiotherapy Studies, or the Master of Audiology Studies program, please ensure that you list this as a second preference in the “Program of study” section of your UQ International Student Application for Graduate Coursework Studies application form. If you are not eligible for your first program preference or are not competitive, this will ensure that the university will automatically assess you for your second program preference!
