JCU Dental School in-person meetings

13 May 2014

OzTREKK’s Australian Dental Schools Admissions Officer Adam Smith would like to remind prospective dentistry applicants that the JCU Dental School in-person meetings will be held in Canada in June 2014!

Faculty Executive Officer Pamela Stronach and Mrs. Sandra Hurlock, Associate Faculty Registrar, will be visiting Canada next month to have in-person meetings with applicants interested in gaining entry into the JCU Dental School.

JCU Dental School
James Cook University Dental School

Although the in-person meetings for dentistry are not part of the admissions process, it is strongly recommended that high-achieving applicants attend these meetings, as in the past the majority of successful dentistry students who received offers to James Cook University Dental School’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program participated in these meetings. Many OzTREKK students who participated in the in-person meetings received early offers prior to the application deadline closing!
JCU Dental School places a special emphasis on rural and remote dentistry and the health of Aboriginal peoples. If you plan to apply to this program, JCU’s focus should be a good fit with your motivations for and interests in practicing dentistry.
