The clinic was established in 2005 to not only provide dental treatment to the local Southport community, but to also provide a quality facility to train dental professionals (including technicians, prosthetists, therapists, hygienists and general and specialist dentists) of the future.
From their third year of study, Griffith Dental School students begin working within the Cclinic under strict supervision by qualified dentists and specialists. Patients are initially assessed by practicing professional staff who ensure patients understand the process for treatment by a supervised senior student.
