Since 2004, the QS World University Rankings has published a list of universities ranked overall and by individual subjects. This year, the QS World University Rankings scored more than 1,500 of the world’s top universities, with more than 100 locations represented around the world.
How Do Canadian Universities Rank in Comparison to Australian Universities?
Compared to OzTREKK’s Australian 6 top-100 institutions, 4 of Canada’s universities landed within the top 100 overall. The University of Melbourne and The University of Sydney edged out all Canadian schools for the top 20.

Australia Takes Home the Most Top Spots for the World’s Most Livable Cities 2025
Another reason to consider studying Down under? Australia has once again topped the charts of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) 2025 Global Liveability Index.
Each year the EIU surveys citizens in 173 cities around the world about how livable their city is based on 30 qualitative and quantitative factors in 5 general categories: education, healthcare, culture and environment, infrastructure, and stability.
As the country with the most cities in the top 20 spots, Australia leads the way for the most livable cities rankings!
