Students review the Monash University medical program
What do students say about the Monash University medical program?
You’re considering medical school in Australia, but which one should you choose?
And how are Australian medical schools working with online learning? Here, we’ve compiled some student feedback for Monash Medical School to give you a bit more insight about what studying medicine looks like during this unsettle time. PS, we didn’t edit a thing.
Year A student feedback
I feel as though everything is being done within the COVID regulations that is possible.
I thought it would be less engaging and isolating which it is but I am impressed with Gippsland ability to organise learning material for us to access much earlier than the rest of the Uni and providing us with adequate teaching and lectures.
Zoom learning is acceptable. It is well organised. Naturally, face to face is always significantly better.
Pretty much all theory classes. I think the lectorials + minimal zoom time (basically just for worksheets, quizzes and discussion) works very well.
The Monash Rural Health Team has done an incredible job adapting to this year’s circumstances, and it has been a successful year overall for me.
I enjoyed the structure of having lectures scheduled instead of just being left with excessive amount of resources where it’s hard to know where to start.
I just wanted to thank all the year A staff I am so thankful that everything has ran pretty smoothly.
Monash is doing a great job with the remote learning.
The year A staff have been extremely supportive and flexible with us. They have been so accommodating and kind…
In everything other than clinical skills, I feel the learning itself is exactly the same as before the lockdown. Nothing can be done about clinical skill …
Clinical skills (obviously can’t be met), also f2f classes makes it a lot easier to pick up certain skills more easily, easier to learn f2f with application of knowledge.
