OzTREKK orientation at Monash University

OzTREKK Orientations are in place to make sure that you are well prepared, organized and ready to tackle your studies and get the most of your time in Australia and overseas. But sometimes we can’t be in two places at once—even though we try!

As part of the OzTREKK Orientations, we usually host a welcome breakfast, lunch or dinner—a great way to meet other new Canadian students, so that you can establish a network and friends right away and help alleviate any homesickness. It’s also a great way to meet upper-year Canadians who can show you the ropes and share their experiences with you so that you know what to expect.
So why do we love our OzTREKK students so much? Because even after they have begun their studies at their Australian university, they are still willing to help new OzTREKK students get settled.
This past March, new OzTREKK Monash University students were treated to a campus tour and lunch, hosted by second-year Monash MBBS student Assia Comella. New Monash students Nicole (Master of Counselling), Serena and Andrea (both MBBS) met on a sunny Sunday and enjoyed a day of sightseeing and a bite to eat in Clayton.

A big thank you goes out to Assia, for offering your time to help new students. You guys are the reason we love what we do!

About the Monash University Medical School Program

The Monash Medical School’s graduate-entry degree emphasizes clinical communication skills and early clinical contact visits to medical practices, community care facilities and hospitals.
Program: Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
