All OzTREKK students applying to medical school outside Canada are advised about post-graduation options to become licensed to practice medicine. It is important to know ahead of time, if you are interested in studying medicine at Monash Malaysia, that following graduation from this medical program, opportunities are limited within Malaysia to obtain a position as a doctor-in-training and become licensed to practice. Non-Malaysians will find it difficult to obtain an internship position in Malaysia. Graduates from Canada would need to apply to be matched for a residency back in Canada or in the US. OzTREKK offers medical licensing seminars for our students to help them understand the licensing process in Australia, Canada and the US, so you can make an informed decision about your medical school options.
