Dean of Melbourne Law School Professor Carolyn Evans said it was pleasing to see the world-class work of Melbourne’s teachers and researchers recognised.
Melbourne’s strong performance is testament to the innovative work of the law school’s staff and the high quality of our graduates,” said Professor Evans.
“To be named consistently amongst the premier law schools in the world reflects great credit on our dedicated staff and the quality of their research and teaching. The important message from this latest ranking is that our programs and research are valued by leaders in legal education across the world and our graduates are seen as outstanding.”
With Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge and Yale universities leading the field, Melbourne Law School is the only law school beyond the US and the UK to be ranked in the global top 10.
The QS World University Rankings evaluate university education and are the first to rank universities at individual subject level in the world. The rankings are based on research citations and data on reputation, including surveys of academics and graduate employers.
