Program Structure

Semester 1: Evidence and Systems
Your foundation begins with the mastery of research evidence. You’ll develop the critical appraisal skills necessary to apply data to populations and individuals. You’ll gain a sophisticated understanding of the Australian health system and how you can take this knowledge back to your local health system, learning to benchmark practices and to advocate for equitable care. Finally, you will explore the psychology of organizational behavior, learning how to influence and lead teams using empirical research and shared practical experience.

Semester 2: The Science of Implementation
The second phase focuses on the “how” of progress. Here, you’ll identify theories of change and master implementation science to accelerate the transition of research into real-world practice. You’ll learn to identify knowledge gaps, dismantle barriers to change, and synthesize complex projects into actionable logic models. This semester also sharpens your ability to educate the next generation of the health workforce.

Semester 3: Value and Integration
In your final semester, you’ll investigate healthcare variations to address the challenge of creating true value for users. You will focus on maintaining efficient screening, treatment, and sustainable interventions. The program culminates in a capstone project—a multifaceted, self-directed assignment that allows you to apply your expertise to a specific area of interest or professional challenge.

Tailored Expertise and Networking

Beyond the classroom, you’ll build a powerful professional network. Through intensive workshops and Bond’s exclusive Perspectives on Healthcare Innovations events, you’ll engage directly with thought leaders, industry innovators, and academic researchers to form the partnerships that will define your future career.

To ensure your degree aligns with your unique career path, you have the opportunity to select one elective subject per semester:

  • Health Data Analytics and Systematic Reviews
  • Entrepreneurship and Project Innovation
  • Research Methods and Planetary Health

Combine your knowledge and skills to design assessments to suit your current work situation and complete a capstone project in an area of your choice in your final semester. You will be given the opportunity to select one elective per semester (full time) to further expand your knowledge and skills in an area of interest from a range of topics.
