JCU dentistry is one of the most popular programs for Canadians.

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings list the world’s best universities that have been operating for up to 50 years. The 2020 ranking compares 414 institutions from 66 territories across Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America, Latin America and Africa.

JCU Vice Chancellor Professor Sandra Harding said the result is a great credit to the university’s staff, academics “and all those who support our students, our graduates and our research efforts.”

“Since JCU is celebrating its fiftieth birthday this year, this is the last year in which we’ll be eligible for this category. As the university leaves its ‘youth’ behind, this is a fitting tribute to our staff and the impressive work they do,” Professor Harding said.

“As a research-intensive university, we deliver ground-breaking, internationally recognised research that makes a difference to people in the Tropics and beyond.

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings measures and compares young universities on 13 performance indicators that cover teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
