Heading to Australia for the semester 1, 2014 intake? OzTREKK Director Matt Miernik will be there to help!
You won’t hear any complaints from Matt—he’s been to Australia already this winter to greet the Medicine and Dentistry students! While the rest of us are just a little bit jealous that Matt gets to experience a blazing Australian summer (again) while the rest of us freeze, we are thrilled for our students! What an exciting journey!
But we also know how intimidating flying around the world can be, so that’s why OzTREKK created the OzTREKK Orientations in order for our students to feel more at ease. Who wants to be stressed right before they begin their studies? We know choosing to study in Australia is a big decision, so Matt and Beth created the OzTREKK Orientations in order to help you get prepared and organized.
The OzTREKK Orientations are also a great way to meet fellow Canadians who will be in your program. At the OzTREKK Welcome BBQ, you can connect with other students who will be in your class, and it’s also a great way to meet future roommates! After the meal, Matt revs up the OzTREKK Shuttle. Need groceries? Call Matt, and he’ll take you where you need to go (and also help you navigate the city!). Need a cell phone? Call Matt! Need supplies for your apartment? Call Matt!
