Organised by the Bond Investment Group (BIG) the student-run event is being held in the Princeton Room at Bond University at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
The theme of the forum is one of the most pertinent issues currently facing the Australian economy: The Turning Point – A new approach to building a globally competitive economy for Australia.
Speakers confirmed for this year’s forum include a number of senior figures from Australia’s corporate community: Dr John Laker AO, former chairman of APRA; Gary Wingrove, CEO KPMG and Robert Jeremenko, Senior Tax Counsel, The Tax Institute.
The facilitator will be Robert Milliken, Australian correspondent at The Economist.
Chair of BIG, Courtney Olden, said the annual event encouraged high level thinking and debate.
“This panel will be discussing some of the critical issues facing the business leaders of today and tomorrow and under Robert Milliken’s guidance I think there will be a variety of issues unearthed and discussed,” said Ms Olden.
Previous speakers at the annual forum have included Sir Richard Branson and David Gonski.
