Systems Administrator
Operations – Perth, Ontario (Hybrid)
We are looking to hire a technical generalist to take on the role of systems administrator for our growing business. This role will be responsible for the oversight of technology across the organization. The successful candidate will liaise with our Microsoft administrator and other established developers, maintain our CRM, and provide efficient and knowledgeable technical support and direction to our team.
As you will be liaising with developers, you are not required to develop / code, per se, but you will require solid experience in design, architecture, and networked solutions.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Act as the primary contact for technical support for the organization
- Respond to employee issues and provide direction and/or escalation where required
- Oversee relationships with developers and third-party administrators
- Ticket submissions, follow-ups, and resolution
- Organize and manage any planned events, including meetings and required updates
- Provide support for all Salesforce changes and updates
- Assist with project management tasks, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to facilitate smooth workflows.
- Maintain documentation of processes, systems, and technical specifications.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to strategic planning
- Deliver any required technical training to the OzTREKK team
- Maintain and monitor current security standards to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats
- Maintain backups and recovery plans for all systems and databases
- Support the goals of the business by participating and collaborating in meetings to decide on infrastructure changes
- Document and organize systems, machines, inventory, IPs, and processes
- Other duties as assigned
Primary Objectives
- Ensure reliable operation of all OzTREKK systems
- Deliver exceptional technical support to the OzTREKK team
- Provide direction and regular oversight on all technical projects happening within organization (including those with third-party vendors); this will include setting and achieving project milestones, testing and release management
- Keep management informed of activities; make recommendations where required
The right candidate for this role will have the following qualities:
- Experience: A candidate for this position must have experience with Microsoft 365. Salesforce experience is strongly preferred. You should be familiar with architecture, design, and integration activities. You should be able to perform simple troubleshooting and provide basic technical support. Strong preference given to a candidate with proven experience in a technical or IT support role, preferably in a small-business setting.
- Communication skills: Ability to speak comfortably to a group when training, taking one-on-one troubleshooting calls or representing the company values via email or phone with third-party vendors.
- Organizational skills: A keen eye for detail and highly organized. They will have the ability to multitask, prioritize independently and meet deadlines, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and demonstrate composure in times of uncertainty and stress.
- Logic and critical-thinking skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a problem-solving mindset. You should be self-motivated and have a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.

Application Specialist
Admissions – Perth, Ontario (Hybrid)
We are looking to hire an application specialist to join our busy Applications Team. Working under the supervision of the applications manager, the application specialist is responsible for processing documents, organizing and submitting students’ university applications, and managing all application-related university communication.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that OzTREKK applicants are provided clear and concise messaging in relation to their university applications and that communication with our university partners is managed and maintained.
The successful candidate must be capable of collaborating, as the applications team work together to prioritize work according to workload, time of year, target goals, and special projects. The right candidate for this role should be a forward-thinker with good judgement and intuition. Proficiency with various computer applications, including the basics: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. is an asset.
They should also have the following qualities:
- Problem solving: A candidate for this position must have the ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing priorities.
- Time management: Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment that requires strong sense of urgency in email response time.
- Organizational skills: A keen eye for detail and highly organized. They will have the ability to multitask, prioritize independently and meet deadlines, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and demonstrate composure in times of uncertainty and stress.
