University of Melbourne DVM Information Sessions Present Vet School Options to Canadian Students
Almost every year representatives from the University of Melbourne come to Canada to chat with students about their AVMA-accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.

This October, the OzTREKK team and University of Melbourne North America Regional Manager Todd St. Vrain stopped in Toronto, Guelph, and Vancouver.
Students who came to the sessions had the opportunity to hear from Todd about this exceptional vet program. Highlights included
- information about the University of Melbourne,
- DVM program outline, including course structure and what to expect,
- prerequisites and GPA requirements for the program,
- what the university looks for in an applicant,
- living in Melbourne, and
- what happens after graduation—practicing as a vet in Australia or Canada.
Attendees also had the chance to participate in an open Q&A with Todd and the OzTREKK team, getting all the answers to their Melbourne DVM questions!
About the Melbourne DVM
The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of Melbourne is based on the latest global thinking in veterinary science practice, teaching, and learning. The University of Melbourne is a world-recognized leader in veterinary research, particularly animal disease, animal welfare, and veterinary public health.
As a Melbourne veterinary student, you’ll study at Australasia’s most modern veterinary teaching facilities.
