About the Dr. Collins
Dr. Jhonna Collins attended the University of Western Ontario for both a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours, specialization in chemical biology, class of 2014), and a 1-year accelerated Master of Science (specialization in microbiology and immunology, class 2015).
She then attended medical school at the University of Sydney (2016–2020), and applied to both Canada and the USA for residency. She then began her career in Canada in July of 2020 as an internal medicine resident at McMaster University. More recently, she wrote and passed the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada board examination and is now a certified FRCPC in internal medicine. She began her subspecialty training in nephrology at McMaster University in July 2023.
