I graduated from St Stephen's University in New Brunswick, class of 2006, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy.
I've been fortunate to have done a lot of travelling internationally, mostly while in university. I did two travel study semesters as part of my undergraduate degree: one throughout Europe in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, England and Scotland; and another throughout Southeast Asia in Thailand, the Philippines and East and West Malaysia.
My other travels include spending a year teaching English in a Korean after-school academy, a few visits to Japan, and a visit to Colombia, as well as living in various places throughout the US and Canada. I've always got the urge to jump on a plane!
I'm an American citizen in the process of obtaining dual citizenship as a Canadian, though I have spent most of my life living here in Ontario.
I follow world news and am interested in international affairs, policy and development. I would like to someday work in foreign relations or at an NGO.
In my spare time, I enjoy carpentry and refinishing work and the never-ending task of home renovations, as well as working with computers and being outdoors.
I love working at OzTREKK because of the great cooperative and friendly work environment, as well as the fantastic services that we are able to provide to students.
“OzTREKK is one of our favoured partners/representatives in Canada, and the University of Newcastle would definitely recommend that students make their application through OzTREKK.”
