From Eh to Oz – Predeparture Meet-ups
Every year, we host in-person predeparture get-togethers across Canada, so you can get to know your fellow OzTREKKers before you leave. These are casual events meant for mingling. We’d love to see you there!

University of Otago Predeparture Webinar for Dentistry Students
Virtually “meet” your future Otago community and have all your predeparture questions answered—even the ones you didn’t know you needed to ask! We’ll make sure you’re feeling comfy about your visa application, accommodation, flights and arrival details.

OzTREKK Director Jaime answered all your predeparture questions… even the ones you didn’t know you needed to ask! Here’s what we covered:
- Before You Leave – Banking, transferring money, health coverage, what to pack, flights, etc.
- Once Your Arrive – Student cards, mobile phones, tax file numbers, driver’s license, etc.
- What To Expect – Shopping, gyms, public transportation, must-see places, and student advice.
