About Our Guest Speaker
Melinda, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, completed her undergraduate studies at Elon University in North Carolina in 2020 before earning her DPT from Bond University on Australia’s Gold Coast in 2024. She chose to study in Australia due to its strong reputation in dance medicine research, along with Bond’s accelerated program, extensive clinical exposure, and her interest in living and studying on the Gold Coast.
Her education provided a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and modern treatment techniques, preparing her to help patients return to—and often exceed—their pre-injury level of function. Now working in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Denver, Colorado, she treats a wide range of conditions including post-operative cases, acute injuries, and chronic pain, and is passionate about sharing her experience and guidance with students considering pursuing their DPT abroad in Australia.
