For more than 100 years, the sanctuary has provided high-quality care to native Australian animals and is a leader in animal welfare, research, expertise, and rehabilitation and release.

About Dr. Tzipori
Lone Pine’s veterinarian, Dr.Galit Tzipori, graduated from the University of Queensland with both a veterinary degree and an honours degree in parasitology. She worked in companion animal practice for 2 years before becoming Lone Pine’s veterinarian almost 24 years ago. Her role encompasses many varied aspects of zoo veterinary medicine including clinical work, preventative health, biosecurity and research projects with both Australian native animals and domestic livestock.
