How To Apply - Macquarie University Speech Pathology in Australia

Program - Master of Speech and Language Pathology

Step 1

Complete the university application forms

Please complete a Macquarie University application.

Please also submit a personal statement, which outlines
(a) an understanding of the scope of speech pathology as practised in Australia;
(b) relevant personal experience of speech pathology or related fields; and
(c) an explanation of any factors that are relevant to the application.

Reference letters are not required, although many applicants include them, with the aim of demonstrating relevant work or clinical experiences.

 

Step 2

Obtain detailed course outlines

Collect course outlines (class syllabi) for the university subjects you completed, which meet the program prerequisites. A one-paragraph description will not suffice.

Please email your course outlines to your addmissions officer.

 

Step 3

Obtain official academic transcript(s)

You will need to submit final transcripts from each institution you have attended. Your high school, college and/or university can mail your official academic transcripts directly to OzTREKK, or you can pick up your transcripts and mail them to OzTREKK, as long as they remain in their original, sealed envelopes. We only require one copy of each transcript, even if you are apply to multiple universities or programs.

Step 4

OzTREKK will confirm receipt of application

When OzTREKK receives your complete application, OzTREKK will

  • confirm that it has been submitted to Macquarie University Speech Pathology School;
  • advise you when an application outcome will be available; and
  • provide you with access to the OzTREKK Boarding Pass, where you can get all our pre-departure tips!
