Predeparture Assistance

Once you have accepted an offer from an Australian university, you can attend an OzTREKK predeparture information webinar and our in-person Predeparture Meet & Greets in Canada.

These sessions are designed to prepare you to study in Australia at your Australian university. We offer these webinars and in-person gatherings to provide you with information about what to do before you leave Canada and about what happens when you arrive in Australia. You will also have the opportunity to meet other students from Canada who are also preparing to study in Australia!

Our predeparture webinars include the Australian student visa process, accommodation and housing, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), travel arrangements, banking and finances, and Australian lifestyle and culture.

And after you've applied, OzTREKK students will receive exclusive access to the OzTREKK Boarding Pass, which outlines detailed predeparture info to help you obtain your student visa, research your accommodation options, book airport arrival reception, log in to an OzTREKK predeparture webinar, and reserve your spot at an OzTREKK Predep Meet & Greet in Canada, and more!

“OzTREKK is one of our favoured partners/representatives in Canada, and the University of Newcastle would definitely recommend that students make their application through OzTREKK.”
